Squam Lakes

The mission of the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center (SLNSC - www.nhnature.org) is to advance understanding of ecology by exploring New Hampshire’s natural world.

Seacoast Science Center

www.seacoastsciencecenter.org Open daily, the Center's aquariums and live-animal exhibits interpret coastal habitats from tide pools to the seafloor. Interactive exhibits allow you to design your own fish for offshore aquaculture. Discover how the crew of a sunken submarine was rescued in 1939. Enjoy family programs on weekends throughout the year; daily during school vacations and summer. Located in Odiorne Point State Park with miles of wooded seaside trails.

Lost River Gorge

Kinsman Notch, the powerful forces of water, wind, weather and time worked their magic, creating Lost River... a place where granite walls seem to erupt from the earth and a river plays hide and seek.

Flume Gorge

www.flumegorge.com A 2 mile self-guided walk hrough a natural chasm, over covered bridges and past waterfalls, a scenic pool and mountain views.

Cannon Mountain Tramway

An 80-passenger cable car brings visitors to the 4,180-foot summit of Cannon Mountain in under ten minutes. On a clear day, you can see the mountains of four states and Canada! At the summit, you'll find spectacular scenic walking paths, a 360 degree observation deck, a cafeteria and restrooms.

Mt Chocorua

Arethusa Falls

The Arethusa Falls trail leads directly to New Hampshire's highest waterfall of 200 feet. Route 302 North from Conway. The Arethusa Falls road is on the Left 6.1 miles North of the White Mountain National Forest sign, and immediately after the Crawford Notch State Park sign.

There is plenty of parking available at the trailhead. The trail begins on the left side of the parking lot at the top of the Arethusa Falls Road.

The Route is direct, reaching the Falls in 1.3 miles. In the summer, this will take about an hour. You can make a loop back to the parking lot by taking the Arethusa-Ripley Falls Trail over Frankestein Cliffs.
